Proper Use of Vertical Baler
- Always Wear Protective Glasses Or Goggles To Prevent Eye Injury And Gloves To Protect Hands. In Some Cases Long Sleeves May Be Required.
- With Bale Door Closed, Place Down On Baler Floor A Broken Down Piece of Clean Cardboard Large Enough To Cover Baler Floor.
- For Best Bales Size, Breakdown All Boxes Before Placing In The Baler.
- Pull Down Baler Feed Gate.
- Push The Green “Start” Button Or Turn “Operate” Key Activating The Baler And The Baling Process. Once Baler Has Cycled, The Bale Feed Door Will Automatically Open Allowing The Operator To Continue The Feeding Of The Cardboard And Continuation Of The Baling Process.
- When “Red Bale Made (Full) Light” Comes On Or Your Unit Has A “Bale Made” Indicator Line (Along Baler Platen And Near Top Of Baler Door), It’s Time To Remove The Bale.
- Run The Baler Platen Down To Stop On The Bale Using The “Manual Down” Button. Hold Button In Until The Platen Stops On Top Of Completed Bale.
- Open The Bale Door Allowing Access To The Bale. Run Bale Wire Through Each Of The Six (6) Bale Wire Slots (Your Unit May Have 5 or 7 Slots). Your Vertical Baler May Have Front Tie-Off Slot Guides Allowing For Convenient Front Running of Bale Wire Ties. If The Vertical Baler Is A Conventional “Tie Off” Machine Requiring Tie-Off Of The Bale From Both The Front And Rear Of The Baler, Then Use Caution Walking Behind Unit To Run Wires From Front To Back To Front In Return.
- Once Bale Is Tied Off, Place Your Pallet On The Floor Approximately 8” In Front Of The Baler To Receive The Completed Bale.
- Some Vertical Balers Are Equipped With Auto-Eject Features, If Not You Will Have To Once Again Walk Behind Unit And Place Eject Chain(s) Onto Designated Area On Baler Platen To Allow Ejection And Removal Of Completed OCC Bale.
- Standing To The Side Of The Baler, Push And Hold In The “Manual Up” Button Allowing For The Bale To Eject Out Onto The Waiting Pallet.
- Remove Bale From Front Of Baler, Close Bale Door, Push The Green “Start” Button Or Turn On “Operate” Key To Run And Reset (Ejector Mechanism And/Or Chains Return To Place) The Baler. Go Back To Step One (1) And Begin The Cycle Again.
